ITP140 was deployed on a 1.5 m thick icefloe in the Transpolar Drift on August 28, 2023 at 85° 1.8 N, 130° 19.6 E during the PS138 cruise (ArcWatch I) on the R/V Polarstern. On the same icefloe, an Environment Canada a Pacific Gyre CTD buoy (6 CTDs + ECO Triplet), a Snow Buoy, a SIMBA, a SIMB, a Snowtato snow pinger network, a Pacific Gyre Sidekick camera buoy, and a Bruncin radiation station were deployed., The ITP includes a dissolved oxygen sensor and bio-optical sensors and is operating on a pattern profiling sampling schedule including one full one-way profile between 7 and 760 m depth every 1.5 days.
